  Very unprofessional! Lana Hendricksen made a mistake on my taxes by adding a $3,104 dollars from 2014 tax year that I had already paid a penalty to the IRS for which she was aware, because she advised me to pay it. I caught the error, which should not have even been on my 2015 Tax Return, so I called her office right after I left her office on the same day I met with Lana to advise her NOT to e-file my tax return until a correction was made. She went ahead and e-filed my returns anyway! Then all week I was asking to speak with her and was put off my her staff Lisa and Christy and was told she had back to back appointments. She avoided me for a week and I was simply asking for amended returns. Finally her staff advised me that I could pick up the amended returns from her office at 6:00 pm on a Friday night. At the time of pick up, I had questions about why the state income taxes and wanted to know why they were exactly the same amount owed as the original, even with a decrease in income of over $3,000.00?!? Her receptionist, Lisa replied " I am not an accountant." I then asked for a phone appointment on Saturday to discuss the issues, and a 1:00pm phone appointment was scheduled. Of course when I called her office at 1:00pm I was told by Chritie that Lana was in an appointment that went over time and she would call me back. At 4:00pm Saturday I called her office and they were closed!! I paid $185.00 to Lana Hendricksen for inaccurate and poor service!! Now I will have to go elsewhere and pay to have it re-checked!! also, Lana put her signature stamp on the amended returns and scribbled it out!! She did the amendments not me!! Her office (Lisa), told me that was her signature! Funny Christy last week had no idea what the scribble over the stamp was! I was still had questions about sending the original incorrect Returns with the amended returns and Lisa ( again very rude, bringing up that she read my review of the CPA), told me I did not have to send the original incorrect returns, only what I was given. Doubting this I called another tax service, and was advised I DO have to send copies of the original tax returns!! Apalling and irresponsible way to run a CPA firm!! She should be embarrassed!

  I had the good fortune of affiliating with Hendrickson & Associates when the larger firm I relied on for tax preparation pulled out of the individual market. This wound up being a blessing because Lana became a partner to help me minimize my tax liability. I found the firm to be very communicative during the process and responsive to any questions along the way or during the year. Highly recommend Lana and team for their expertise and professionalism.
